He promises good things for us in heaven, and all he asks of us (can i even say that?) is to persist in our walk with the Lord. Our time on earth is short, and there is no point in being upset over anything. God is good, forever and ever. He never will give us what we cannot handle, and if we can't, He's there anyway to pick me up. Just gotta keep my eyes fixed on God, just straight ahead. Even though things are tough, think of his warm embrace and imagine His wiping away my tears, my hurt, all my wounds.
God- I'm so hurting right now. But help me to not let that hinder my relationship with You. If anything, help me to grow closer to you, to seek you and to thirst for you. Help me to not be distracted by what's around me but to focus on what's ahead of me- You. I ask you for diligence, perseverance, and desire to seek joy despite the circumstance.
Thank You for sending Your Son to die for me on the cross.
