Hosea 5

15 Then I will return to my lair until they have borne their guilt and seek my face - in their misery they will earnestly seek me.

Three important themes, or points that have been coming up repeatedly in Hosea: 1) sin & judgment, 2) consequences from the sins of God's people, and 3) stumbling.

I think it's important to learn that even though we sin, making things OKAY doesn't necessarily make everything okay. We can't justify ourselves by what we think is right- our sins can't be undone by doing good right after. it has to be understood that even the smallest sin we commit has been paid for by the blood of Christ. God is continuously giving His people chances and to come back to God, but they won't do it. They're hopelessly clinging onto the wrong things.
