Joshua 1:6-9

Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

I really like this passage, but i especially wanted to focus on verse 7, "Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go." Basically, he's telling us to not tweak the word as to fit our life. We need to live accordingly to what the Lord tells us. It's not the other way around- we don't tell God how to tell us how to live..it just doesn't work that way. We're nothing compared to Him..that's why He's God, and we're human. Even though this is a firm command, the Lord is still compassionate and constantly reminding us that He'll be with us through and through. Yeah, it'll be tough. But nothing's impossible with God.
