O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands.
Why is it so difficult to seek God in all things? we have everything in the Lord, but always overlook Him. God is the ultimate Provider with everything that we could possibly need/want, but because i can't see Him, i overlook that He's there and i try to fill that desire with other things. and 99.99999% of the time, it comes back and kicks me in the butt. Right now, God's teaching me to seek him before anything else. Stop looking towards other comforts, stop trying to fill that thirst, hunger with worldly food- replace it with Holy water and i'll be a-ok.
Your love is better than life, better than this world. Strip me down and humble me till You need to. Have Your way with me, because nothing else can do it.
