1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

The classic Love Passage. I've always known, memorized, and read this passage since i was little, but i don't think i've ever read it. When you have love for someone, and it doesn't matter what kind of love that is, it should be characterized by all those things above. Unselfish love, putting that person (or people) above you despite whatever circumstance. It sounds corny and even a little bit cliche, but if you think deeply about what the passage is saying, it's mind-blowing. This is the kind of love Jesus has for us.

  1. I like verses that have lists like this one. Very clear cut and makes it understandable for someone like me haha
