Isaiah 55:1-2

Come, all you who are thirsty and come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk, without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen to me, and eat what is good, and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Life's filled with so many disappointments. We like to invest our time and hearts into something/someone, and expect something in return. But most of the time, that doesn't happen, and that's "okay" because it's life. We're taught by the world that we can't and won't get what we always want, and we're told to live with that because reality doesn't work like that. But what if that's because the world doesn't know what to invest in? This passage says that God will fulfill, provide, and satisfy. He promises things that the world can't live up to, and that's amazing. God calls us to come seek him, to invest our time and hearts into Him and in return He provides the everlasting love that we are actually desiring. Jesus spilled his blood so that we can be saved, so he invested his life so that we can live. Doesn't make sense that we try to fill our hearts with unnecessary things..

Another good reminder to us all that being human makes us blind to what's best for us, and that which is right there in front of us.
