Isaiah 55:10-11

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

This passage paints such a beautiful and graceful picture. When it rains, the water doesn't fall from the sky not expecting it to splash onto anything on the ground. It's expected to hit something and make it wet. These verses are painting that very picture of how our words should be like. Our words should fall out of our mouths like the rain- whatever comes out should expect to touch something. To splash onto the next thing it touches, be it our friends, neighbors, classmates, co-workers, etc... just as the rain has its purpose to making something wet, our words should have that very purpose of being a blessing for whoever hears it. Our words that would make our Father's name known.
