v24. Therefore the Lord, the Lord Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: "Ah, I will get relief from my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.
This is kinda scary...God is declaring these people as His enemies...if it were any other earthly king, just build up an army worthy to destroy them, but this is God we're talking about...
v26. I will restore your judges as in days of old, your counselors as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.
God's anger is soo visible and clear here. but still- God is good, and He promises to turn back these bad people into who they once were. God's love overshadows his anger. but this doesn't mean there still won't be retribution. God hates sin.
2v5. Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord.
walk in the LIGHT, not DARKNESS. in the dark, you fumble around. but in the light, you are clear-visioned and can see where you're going. even to where you're about to make mistakes. but at least you can still see.
2v9. So man will be brought low and mankind humbled - do not forgive them.
Hm. What can we do when we live in a country filled with so many idols? there's no point in having pride at what i can do. that's like trying to steal glory from God. He's the one who gave me everything, so everything that I do should in turn go up to him. without God i have nothing. without God i AM nothing.
2v22. Stop trusting in man, who has but a breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?
man is nothing. the air we breathe has been breathed into us by God. He can take it away at any moment. so it only seems foolish to not trust in God.
Godislove.
