one for all, all for God.

This book came for me in the mail today...i think i might've clicked on the "Send me my free copy" link on those ads on biblegateway.com...haha and it came! Who knew..

The author, Richard Wurmbrand, is an atheist-turned-Christian, and he wrote this book only 3 days after captivity during which he was tortured. I haven't really read it yet, but in the first couple pages was this line that kind of stuck out at me: "But these Nazi times had one great advantage. They taught us that physical beatings could be endured, and that the human spirit with God's help can survive horrible tortures." It's sort of off-topic, but this kinda reminded me of leaders' meeting last saturday, when we had to do physical punishments for each other. There was plenty of grumbling and huffing, but if i look at it from this standpoint, then there's really nothing to grumble about. We 'suffer' because if one brother falls, then we all fall.

Hahah..this is so far from what the book is probably talking about and what Wurmbrand (and countless other martyrs) went through, but. still. Accountability. :)
