Acts 3:1-10

the first part of this passage begins with Peter and John coming across a beggar/cripple as they are going up to the temple to pray. the cripple asks the Apostles for money, but Peter looks at him and says that they are without money too. but instead of money he can give him full health through the name and power of Jesus Christ. this passage is one that is pretty commonly known, but we can draw more than just what's going on out of the story. we are all cripples too. we're all beggars and we're pretty much helpless on our own. but when we do something or ask of something in Jesus' name, we're granted full health just like the beggar in the story. despite our fallen human nature, the Holy Spirit fills in all the gaps and imperfections, and we can call to the sinful and soulless cripples through God's holy power. we are made whole by God's strength!
