striving to be a footstool.

"This is what the Lord says: 'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be? Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the Lord. "This is the one I esteem: he who is humble and contrite in spirit, and trembles at my word."

Isaiah 66:1-3

Joe mentioned today about how living in sin gives a footstool to Satan. it makes him more powerful and gives him the advantage. it makes him stronger to corrupt us, and it turns out to be like a vicious cycle. and sadly, this is what reality has become. the world is falling so deeper and deeper into sin, that Satan is growing stronger by the moment. even the moment right before the retreat, some of the servants experienced oppression by the enemy. Satan was jealous that we were trying to give glory to God, he wanted his footstool back. so he made us sick, physically weak, angry,..basically he hit each and every one of us right at our vulnerable points. but the truth of it all is that we are still God's hope. the LORD Himself has said that the earth is his footstool towards heaven. even though our dual nature is constantly struggling in this battle between the sinful vs. spiritual, God still has hope that we'll one day see the light. He's constantly wondering when we'll come to our spiritual senses, and start building His HOME. you can see it, He explicitly says it in the 2nd part of verse 1- Where is the house you will build for me? He is waiting. this is the TRUTH.
