outlet of today's thoughts

just some stuff that were running around my mind today bcus of class

1. If God's omniscient, omnipotent, and perfectly benevolent, why did he create Hell & evil?
- He didn't create Hell & Evil. that logic doesn't work..hell is the absence of God, just as darkness is the absence of light. they're not opposites- one just doesn't have the other. same with evil. God didn't create evil, because He's good. man fell away of their own accord. God made us with free will and choice, and we chose death.

2. If God loves all His creation, why does he damn some to hell and permanent suffering?
- I'd say see above. He doesn't want to do either of those, He created us with the intention of being with us for eternity in his KINGDOM, but bcus man chose the sinful route, that's the judgement brought on by the sovereignty of God. it's punishment for disobeying God.

3. What's up with all those different views and perspectives of Christianity?
- No one said Christians were perfect. we're human and sinful and imperfect too..those divisions in the church weren't supposed to happen, but did because in the process of time we started making God in our image rather than becoming like God in His image.

4. Christians are hypocrites.
- I agree.

5. What happens to the soul after death?
- We either go to heaven or hell. Catholics believe in purgatory and a limbo..the bible talks about no such thing. When Revelation talks of Jesus' second coming and judgment, it's talking about judgment of the earth and all sin- those who are saved and already in heaven with God stays and will rule the new heaven and new earth with God, while satan and his demons are put away for good.

6. How do i know if I'm saved? How do i know if i'll go to Heaven or Hell?
- You technically don't know, bcus Jesus will decide that for you once you get there. But John 5:24 says this: “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." It's a promise of eternal life with God, something that can't be taken away.

k that's all i have for now.
