16 If you see any brother or sister commit a sin that does not lead to death, you should pray and God will give them life. I refer to those whose sin does not lead to death. There is a sin that leads to death. I am not saying that you should pray about that. 17 All wrongdoing is sin, and there is sin that does not lead to death.
I never thought about sin this way. We discussed this topic maybe some weeks ago, about the difference between some sins. Some agreed that all sin is sin regardless of "levels", while others agreed that yeah all sin separates us from God, but some aren't as bad as others. I used to think the first, but after reading this is making me regard the latter a lot more. I also feel that this passage can be dangerous for some Christians, incase it gives them the idea that they have the right to classify sin into categories of weak, mild, and strong. But, we know that it's only God who sits in that judgment seat and the only thing we can do is pray for our other brothers & sisters. Because we all struggle daily with sin.
